Egyptian striker Mido has said that he is extremely hopeful that he will be recalled for the international team after signing for the Championship club Barnsley. Barnsley finished the previous season just a few points above the relegation zone. In fact, they were saved due to the points deduction for Portsmouth.

They will be hoping that they avoid a repeat of the same this season. As a result, they have secured the signing of the 29-year-old Mido, who has a great experience of playing in the English league with Tottenham and Middlesbrough. Even though he has been a major troublemaker in both the clubs, Barnsley will be hoping that his superiority on the pitch will speak more than his troubles.

For Mido, it is all about getting back into the national team and proving himself once again. The striker has not been selected for the Egypt national team for many years now. However, he is hoping that the move to Barnsley will provide him with the recognition that he deserves.

Egypt recently lost the African nations cup qualifying match against Central African Republic 3-2. Despite this, it is thought that American coach Bradley will not be looking at the possibility of bringing back Mido to the team unless he performs well with Barnsley.
